Taptu Releases Full Version Of Taptu Touch Search App For Android
Cambridge, UK (PRWEB) August 5, 2010
Taptu, the search and discovery engine, is announcing an update of its popular Android App to give its rapidly growing number of Android users even more ways to easily and intuitively browse the mobile touch Web for content and to search for top apps in the Android market.
As reported in our May 2010 Mobile Touch Web report, there are over 411,000 touch websites on the mobile web and 60,000 apps in the Android Market. Taptu’s updated Android app puts it all at their fingertips.
The new update includes:
Result Card Flick: Flick through search results with the swipe of a finger, whether the results are a Web page, YouTube video, image, or blog post.
Filtered Search: Filter searches using Taptu’s powerful filter and suggestion button to easily find blogs, Twitter, images, and more.
Category Browse: With the flick of a finger, browse for both touch-friendly content and Android’s top 200 apps–organized by category.
My Taptu: Save favorite touch-friendly sites in one place to easily check back in with favorite blogs or sites.
Landscape View: Flick through search results in either portrait or landscape mode.
Share: Share results or favorite content with friends via Facebook, Twitter or e-mail.
Taptu President and COO Mitch Lazar said of the latest update:
“We’re excited about extending the full power of Taptu search to the Android platform and taking our Android version of Taptu to an entirely new level. Since its launch two weeks ago, Taptu’s new Android app has doubled its traffic compared to the previous app. Users will love the ability to search across both the Android Market for new apps and the mobile touch web for sites that they can collect, save and share with their friends.”
